Announcements are oredered wrong

Hi all,

I installed the new version of the Announcements module, however all Announcements are oredered from oldest to newest instead from newest to oldest. I didn't experience such problems with older version. May somebody advise me how to make the Announcements to be ordered from newest to oldest by default.

Re: Announcements are oredered wrong

announcements are ordered on vieworder and on publish date, vieworder being more important. Perhaps your announcements all have vieworders? Did you check the publish dates?

Re: Announcements are oredered wrong

Hi Erik,
Thanks a lot for your reply - I appreciate it.  I didn't specify any view order. Today I recognized that there is following problem with this module:
- If there is different date announcements are ordered correctly from newest to oldest
- However if I'm adding more announcements in short period of time (example 10 min) on the same date Announcements are ordered wrong.
Example:
1. First Announcement is added: 6/30/2008 5:42:50 PM
2. Second Announcement is added: 6/30/2008 5:44:57 PM (this is coming under the first Announcement although is newer).
This cause problem when somebody is adding many Announcements in same day.
Pls. may somebody advise how this can be fixed.
Thanks. Ilian

Re: Announcements are oredered wrong

If you Edit and Update the second announcement now it should move them to the order you require.

Having the same problem. Updating doesn't fix the issue.
