Re: Default Editor FckEditor does not support friendly urls

Thank you for your time the fckeditor is in my belief the best free editor there is and to have this issue solved would make it work very well for DNN. I think it was the right decision to make the default core editor fckeditor.

Thanks again for a great providor

Now if we could use netspell with FCKeditor than it would be the greatest free provider as I am a bad speller

Re: Default Editor FckEditor does not support friendly urls

I follow you now. That is what should happen. In the Media Module there is a portal tracker added to editmedia.aspx and the show track is set to true this lets the user choose whether to use linkclick.aspx or not and it does appear to work correctly in 4.5.1

Thanks again for explaining the code flow to me.

wrawson, did you solve your problem, I am also very interested in the solution.
It seems to me that the Ventrian Friendly URL that I use is not compatible with FCK (or the opposite, FCK is not ocmpatible with Ventrian).
I can not insert images anymore when Human Friendly URL is on... I will investigate and do some tests to confirm this.

Re: Default Editor FckEditor does not support friendly urls

Sorry I have not solved the issue. The core time said they where looking into the url control not returning a user friendly url to the fckeditor. I believe it could be fixed by adding the "show track=true" value to the linkgallery.aspx but it is turned off in codebehind page load method. So requires a recompile of the fckeditor. I have been waiting to see if the source code becomes available soon so I might recompile it for my own use. I have never used the Ventrian Friendly Urls but am going to test real soon. I will let you know if I to have problems inserting photos when using it. Did you try setting the Show Full Image Path in the custom options of the Fckeditor? this might be a workaround.
