SWF files - Embed and object code question

The editor seems to eliminate the object code and only saves the embed code. This forces the file not to appear on FireFox. I have worked around the issue by using a Video encription application that I wrote that converts the code into an encrypted javascript routine.

Is there a way to configure the FCK editor to show both the object and embed code?

Re: SWF files - Embed and object code question

Hi Buck,

I never embedded flash that way, but if it will work for your layout check out digFlash.  It's free.

Thanks,

Mike

Re: SWF files - Embed and object code question

I found a workarround that let you have the object tag in the fckeditor, in the wysiwyg mode of the editor you dont see anything but it will still work.

The line you add to the config file removes the object tag when switching to wysiwyg mode but it is saved so you the flash object when you watch your page.

Edit fckconfig.js in: dotnetnuke\Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\Fck\FCKeditor\
Add the following line: FCKConfig.ProtectedSource.Add( /<object[\s|\S]+?<\/object>/gi ) ;
