Re: Disable Automatic Insertion of "P" tags

Mine only change when i change the file (HtmlEditorProviders\Fck\Custom\fckconfigsecure.js)

So I guess to be on the safe side change all three files.

Re: Disable Automatic Insertion of "P" tags

Thanks nguyen - that seems to have done the trick - changing the fckconfig.js in BOTH folders. (And your site is cool even if my vietnamese is not ;)

For me this issue seemed to get ugly after I upgraded the site from 3.22 to 4.7 - on all my sites that I upgraded.

Ismet is right, this should be easier to deal with.

For most of us, FCK is the rubber meeting the road as far as client interaction with their site - critical that it works as they want it to.

thanks,

Will

Re: Disable Automatic Insertion of "P" tags

Look you can do a <br /> or a <p> or a <div>, but it is not a structural solution.
We get a lot of complaint from customers about the <p> tag.
Esspecially with some modules, like the FAQ module it is an abolute HELL to remove the <p> tags with every question.
So I think it should be made optional in the FCK settings, or perhaps you could even make a property for the dnn:texteditor control.
This way for example the developers of the FAQ module can release a version where the <p> tags won't be added for every question.
