FCK Editor doesn't save

I have 04.08.02. None of the modules that use FckEditor save my changes -- anywhere in the entire portal.  That is, if the editor works correctly while i'm using it, but when i click Update, it doesn't save any changes. Nothing was written to the database either.

I can only get data to save if I switch to Basic Text Box and enter my info.

Re: FCK Editor doesn't save

this looks like an installation issue, does this happen in a specific browser only? is anything listed in the DNN EventLog?

Re: FCK Editor doesn't save
There is a conflict between the FCK Editor the core implementation of AJAX. Go to Host->Host Settings and in the "Other Settings" section, clear the "Enable Ajax" checkbox. That should solve your problem.

When i do this and click update i get "A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.".

It seems to have taken the change, however. When i go back to the settings, the box is unchecked. And the FCK editor seems to be working now.

Thanks.
