Removing or hiding icons in the tool bar

Hi

I've searched around a bit on how to remove icons or even tool groups from the fck tool bar when in edit mode and haven't found much on it. Basically I want my content publishers (non admins) to be restricted from using the font and size tools and if possible cherry pick individual tools to remove (like the smileys and flash). Any ideas on how I could do this?

Thanks
Mike

Re: Removing or hiding icons in the tool bar

If you are looking to do that globally, then you can change this in the fckconfig.js file.  Find it here:

~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/FCKEditor/fckconfig.js

Re: Removing or hiding icons in the tool bar

Oh, cool. I am looking to make it global so this looks like it will work. Thanks!

Just a note, will this js file be overwritten the next time I upgrade? Not really a problem but I like to keep track of those sorts of things for later.

Thanks

Mike

Re: Removing or hiding icons in the tool bar

Just tried to comment out all the references to smileys and what not on the js and it didn't seem to take the icons off the tool bar. I made sure I disabled all but the "default" toolbars but it must be referencing this from somewhere else as well?
Thanks
Mike

Hmmm...  This should have made the change.  Have you tried removing them, instead of commenting them out?
