WYSIWYG is WSI-Wrong...

Ok, I get things all squared away in the FCK WYSIWYG. formatted just right, with everything in place just so.

Then I click preview... Uh oh...

Completely different.

Ok, I tweak it a bit and get it to something I can live with... Then I click update...

Different again. Now it's live and there are angry people calling me on the phone. Soon they will show up in the lobby with pitchforks and torches (and that's just the board of directors, wait until the clients get here...)

Realizing this is a bad thing, I hide under my desk until the chanting stops and they are out of effigies to burn.

I would like to radically modify both the CSS and the XML for this lovely product and have looked into it. I was just wondering were to save the XML & CSS files so that it will have an impact on FCK, or I will be really FCK'd

Thank you for your support!

Re: WYSIWYG is WSI-Wrong...

Am I the only one that is seeing different results in the various FCK editor windows?

For clarities sake, the WYSIWYG shows something completely different from the preview which is then in turn different from the published results??

Re: WYSIWYG is WSI-Wrong...

You are not alone on this, the big difference in in the way the CSS is put in place.

I have had one client switch to the RAD Editor by Telerik and they have had a good experience with the switch..

Re: WYSIWYG is WSI-Wrong...

go to advanced settings and enable the option to dynamically load editor area css - this will help a lot. Note: make sure, the style defined for body is the same as for container background and can be applied to the editor area as well, otherwise you will see some strange effects.
