remove button for some modules and not others
Modified By Edmedia on 9/12/2008 6:58:42 PM)

Hi

here is my problem, i need to limit the editor functionality (or different pages) so the registered users can only navigate their own folders and not all the portals folders nor other peoples folders.  But administrators or other chosen roles have full access.

FKC seem to be configured at the portal level and everyone gets the same access and function.

any ideas on how the wrap a vbit of security around the module?

Re: remove button for some modules and not others

That is controlled via the Admin, File Manager. Simply and or remove view and write permissions for roles as desired. FCK and modules will respect what you set. There is also an option in the editor to set a default uplaod folder. This is also worth setting once you've decided how to structure everything.

If you want to remove  toolbar buttons from FCK then you need to look into the customisation options. There are settings for displaying and hiding toolbars from different roles. You can also create your own toolbars. Look in the forum here for some posts with further details on that.
