Modified Contacts module does not display new labels.

Hi there,

I've got a peculiar problem that i cannot seem to get my head around. I've modified the contacts module to include a fax number and address.

The module works perfectly except that the help hints and labels of the new fields do not display in the add new contacts page. I must not have made a change in a praticular area or property. Can anyone advise me?

(I've modified the Contacts.ascx.resx and EditContacts.ascx.resx files but that has had no impact.).

Any help that you can extend out to me would be most appreciated.

Cheers

Johann

Re: Modified Contacts module does not display new labels.

Make sure that:

1. These .resx files you've modified are from App_LocalResources folder
2. You've used correct syntax and are using the proper label names.
3. You've uploaded the updated files, not the old ones.

Thank should do it. If it doesn't work, ship me your PA zip, I'll look at it. You can use info AT continure DOT com

Johann,

please notice as well, that developement on Contacts has been suspended and the module will be replaced by UserDefinedTable, that offers many additional options and eallows you easily via UI, to define your own columns.

Re: Modified Contacts module does not display new labels.

Thank you very much for your reply.

Yes I had not followed the naming conventions properly, so it was an error on my part.

Once again thank you for taking the trouble to assist me.

Best regards

Johann
