Email on show: Is this a problem?
Hi,

Just a thought on the contacts module, is that fact that the email address is displayed a problem with regards to spam? Should it maybe just be the name that is an email link, with the email address never shown or encrypted in some way?

Thanks
Kieran

Re: Email on show: Is this a problem?
personally speaking, yes, I would not want my email address showing. You may want to show only department email addresses. For example, Sales@Company.com for the sales contact.

Re: Email on show: Is this a problem?

The contact module already displays the email address in an "obscure" manner.  If you "View source" on your page you will notice there is no "mailto" links for the contacts.  The module generates the mailto: links so that a spider/bot can't pick up on the link (its looking for a mailto: ), but renders as viewable HTML for people to click on and get start a email message.

Is this safeguard also in the user defined table module?
