Contacts Module v3 Versus v4

Hello Gurus.

I notice that the DNN 4.4.1 default install does not include the Contacts module.  I am trying to upgrade my DNN 3.0.13 site to 4.4.1.  My DNN v3 site uses Contacts (450 active users).  Some of the smart people that answer questions in this forum have said that running an upgrade should be OK.  (I have backed up the database and the existing DNN v3 folders).

I am very concerned that something bad is going to happen to Contacts.  This module is used alot today...if it breaks during the upgrade...that will be bad.  This is a business portal and people use Contacts to get email addresses and phone numbers etc.

My question: If the Contacts module is not there by default...what is going to happen to when I upgrade?  Will Contacts work or not?

Oh and if I do upgrade and things go awry...what is the procedure for rolling back from v4 to v3?

Please help me out with some detail.  Thanks.

Regards,

ltm
