Hello.

Back in 1997 or so the intranet portal pioneers thought the killer app for an intranet would be a directory of names and phone numbers that one could search and get a list of matches back.  Wow, and it was a killer app for intranets...even today the searchable employee listing is one of the most frequently used bit of most intranets.

My question is: Can it be done with DNN?  No one seems to know. All I want to do is use the 450 contacts that are in the contacts module and search by name and get matches returned to me. Browsing the module is just as useful as having the list on paper.

Can the module team please tell me if a searchable contact list is possible, and if not why?  I want to give the users of DNN here something that is useful.

OK...so when I run the upgrade...and it completes successfully...Contacts will still be there--intact and functional.  It is just the pie-in-the-sky wish for a seachable contact list that will not happen because the decision was made to sunset Contacts.
