Chat locks up

Running chat on 4.8.  Three of us in the chat.  Chat stopped responding.

Event viewer on the WWW server logged:  ISAPI 'c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll' reported itself as unhealthy for the following reason: 'Deadlock detected'.   Did not see any related errors in the DNN event viewer.

Anyone else having any similar problems?

Re: Chat locks up

Please keep an eye on that problem. We've been testing the module here on this site with quite a few people more than 3, but still there could be a problem somewhere of course....

Re: Chat locks up

Runnin chat on 4.07.  Locked it up with two people on default settings (correction, I've disabled formatting).  Seems like I have to 0 out the history in order to clear the chat screen.  I've been playing with the settings such as History Capacity and Display Capacity to see if there is a problem there.  I've even manage to lock it with both capacities at 10.  The strange thing is that I didn't even type anything, just edited another module on the page, switched between edit and view mode.  The chat screen filled with [joined] messages (more than I would think) and it wouldn't let me add anything to the conversation.  When I say it locks I mean it won't let me add anything to the conversation.

I'm going to keep playing with it.  I like the direction this project is going.  I was very happy to see a core chat module.

Glenn
