Some features for the upcomming chat module

Hello Chatmodule Team,

I am user on the imesser chat module, and so i have some idears for the module.  I am beginning with ddn programming, but I am a beginner in programming, so i think I can not help you.  But I can translate the german language files for you if you want.

So here my feature idears:

Add a administration role for  clean chat, ban users, add system massages ( like Welcome to dnnchat )

Add privat messages to a user

Add scroll enable/disable

Add badword list

different color for the users name

add chatroom list

registred user display as:  Username, displayname, firstname, lastname

Add inactive user life tim

Message screen height and weight

Admin message color

Chat refresh time

add message time

Add open in a window ? So you can chat in this windows and go to other pages of the portal.

Add login for anonymous users, add enable funktion for anonymous users.

thats it, for the moment.  I hope that help you.

Best Regards

Matthias

Matthias

Hi Matthias,

Thanks for taking the time to give us your input on the chat module. Although we have quite a few ideas ourselves, it's always good to hear other opinions.

Re: Some features for the upcomming chat module

Hello Matthias,

I'm glad to hear that you're going to be taking this module on, I'm not sure how far you have went with it yet but maybe this link will help http://code.jenseng.com/jenChat/. Do you happen to have a rough estimate of when you hope to have an initial release ready by?

Thanks,

Peter

Well, that's what you've got the "Edit" button for on your own posts.
