Thank you for clarifying that I was wondering where the edit button was, in the meantime since I can't edit posts at this time would you mind removing them for me?

Hi Matthias,

123flashchat has release the module for DNN recently. It can integrate with DNN perfectly and may satisfy most of our requirements, you can take a look  http://www.123flashchat.com/chat_module_download.html . http://www.123flashchat.com/feature.html . Have fun.

Do you happen to have a rough estimate of when you hope to have an initial release ready by?

As always in DotNetNuke project, the rough estimate is "When it's ready". I'll be using the project blog to inform the community about how things are going.

I'm being patient however it's been over two month now since there's been an update on the project blog so it would seem that at this point my request isn't unreasonable if you considered it to be before. Do you plan to deliver an initial release by mid-year? If not, will it be by end-year? Please give some kind of indicator of where things are at.

I looked at this site and did not see word of DNN, PHPNuke Yes, PostNuke Yes...

They do have a bit on MS SQL integration along with a sample login script. Also seems rather pricey for a Chat function. Might be simpler to butcher FlashChat for $5 they'd like.

I've been toying around (as time allows) with the ability to launch login's to other forms of applications from DNN (without butchering the target applications). Its not quite as simple as it might seem due to the fact that most app's require varied "sign up" information(s) as well as validation (usually via email). While a site we just did doesnt require fancy chat we just found a Chat program that uses no DB etc (PHP, ASP doesnt matter)... We hosted it on a seperate HTML page and then IFrame that page. Works fine.

I think we're getting to a point worthy blogging about this or next week. We are still planning to release a basic version of the module as soon as it's ready. At this point I do expect it to be before end-year. I'm afraid this is as precise as I can get at this point.
