Demo of Chat Module

Does Anyone have a link to a site with a working chat demo?

Re: Demo of Chat Module

I am not aware of any sites using the module on a live site at the moment. I couldn't really advice to do so either, since it's still in beta.

Re: Demo of Chat Module

I am using the chat module on my site.  I pretty much jumped on it as soon as it was available as I run a support forum and the members have been asking for chat.  We've had no problems with it at all, even though there are some things I'd like to see changed, which I think may be being addressed already such as:

Ability to select and "hold" a color (not having to pick colors every time you send a message)

Some of the colors just don't work.

You see when someone comes in, but you don't see when they leave.

No list of folks that are participating in the chat, so unless you are there and notice people as they arrive, you don't know who is there and who is not.

Other than that....we are enjoying it.  We are using it for spontaneous chats and I've also scheduled hosted chats on the events calendar.

Unfortunately, my chat module is behind the secure login and not public.  So, I can't show you. I tested with a public version of it, but everyone is "anonymous" which isn't good.  I think the public chat should require at entry to specify a name for that session before participating.

I like what I've seen so far...I'm sure it will get better.

Re: Demo of Chat Module

I have one running here: http://www.lenca.net/wcufo/Chat/tabid/59/Default.aspx

I don't see significant issues with it ( besides the suggestions LeAnne mentioned above ) but I don't  think the few users of my site have used it much.

Re: Demo of Chat Module

Thanks for your feedback here.

We're about to submit it to the release tracker again with some changes. A list of users is not there yet, but it'll be in there soon enough (we know it's needed). The problem with some of the colors is fixed, as are a few others.

Keep your feedback coming
