HTML template
I am trying to make some templates (HTML) but I have no idea where to start. Is there a sample or a manual?

Re: HTML template

Not at the moment (still working on some documentation), but I can give you an overview, its a very simple system

Basically, the HTML file you upload will be duplicated for each row in the result set and displayed in the View mode of the module. For each row, a replacement is run that replaces the text "[COLUMNNAME]" in the template with the value of the column called 'COLUMNNAME' in the query results. So as a simple example, you could use this query:

SELECT TabID, TabName FROM dnn_Tabs

And this HTML template:

<strong>[TabID]</strong> - <em>[TabName]</em><br/>

To produce a list like this:

1 - Home
2 - Another Tab
3 - Yet another Tab
... etc ...

Unfortunately, there is no way in the current version to setup HTML to be displayed in the header and footer, but I plan to get this into the next version (entering release process very very soon).

I hope that gets you started at least, let me know if you have any other questions!

Re: HTML template
What about using XSL transformation?

Could you please post an example also for this?

Thanks

Re: HTML template
Can I make this template just by creating a text file, renaming it reports.html ( for example) and adding the fields I need? or is there a special process to create this template?

Re: HTML temp
Yes, you don't need to include HTML tags, but you may find that you need to add a "<br/>" tag to the end of the line because HTML ignores spaces and line breaks.
