Use address bar as parameter?

If i had a report at the URL:

https://www.test.com/OnlineServices/Billing/Invoices/AllInvoices/tabid/59/Default.aspx

could I pass a variable via the address (i.e. https://www.test.com/OnlineServices/Billing/Invoices/AllInvoices/tabid/59/Default.aspx?InvNo=1343) and use that variable in an SQL query on that page?

Re: Use address bar as parameter?

Not in the current version. There are plans for a more detailed parameter system and QueryString parameters are a key part of that system. I hope to get some initial work on this into the next release.

You can track the progress of that feature in our bug tracker, its Issue # RPT-4661

Re: Use address bar as parameter?

I hope we see this in the next release as parameters are almost a must in retrieving/displaying data.  Given even a simple paramater system, the possibilities are endless.

Re: Use address bar as parameter?

Will this include the SSRS Report visualizer as well?

Without support for parameters, it is impossible to run parameter based reports or linked reports.

Re: Use address bar as parameter?

Yes, the module will pass these parameter to SSRS when using the Server Mode of the ReportViewer Visualizer.
