I think have the answer to my question from looking at previous posts however I wanted to be 100% sure I'm right before I undertake the implementation a long workaround. So thank you in advance for your help. The question is whether it's right that the built-in parameters can be used only while connecting to MS SQL and they won't work with other ADO.net providers, especially with MS Access?

The reason I need it that way is that I'm merging our existing site to DNN. Currently we are using an Access db to generate personal reports for the members of our club based on data collected offline via and Access application (the database is loaded to the site on a weekly basis). Thus in order to do the same in DNN I need to have user's name/ID when I query the Access db and then I unfortunately discovered that I can't do it.  Another option for me will be to load the Access db to MS SQL every week but then I don't want to alter DNN db and thus the question will be will it works with another db that's installed on the same server.
