Ideas for New Renderers?
In version 4.4 of the Reports Module, we introduced a feature called "Custom Renderers" that allows users to choose from many different ways of displaying data. Another goal was to allow for the integration of 3rd-party reporting tools and other ways of displaying data. So, I pose this question: "How do you want to view your data?". Below I'm listing the renderers included in the system and some ideas I had for other renderers. Reply to this thread with your own ideas or voice your interest in one of the ideas someone else posted! I'm going to try to get some documentation together on how to develop and install your own renderers so you don't have to wait for your great idea to be implemented, you can do it yourself!

Renderers included already:
  • Chart
  • Grid
  • HTML Template
  • Reporting Services
  • XSLT Transform

Re: Ideas for New Renderers?
I would like to see a renderer for some kind of OLAP cube viewer. There is a very good ASP.NET license-free OLAP tool called ThinSlicer which I would particularly like to see integrated with DNN.
