Re: Ideas for New Renderers?

Simpler would probably be an ODBO (Ole DB for OLAP) based module as ODBO is supported by most commercial OLAP engines (in muuch the same was a SQL is for DBs).

Re: Ideas for New Renderers?

Sorry, no new ideas for renderers. I just have a question. My company has used DotNetNuke for our site since 2003 and I have always been able to use Crystal Reports. On one of the upgrades the schema changed and it took a while for me to locate all the address and phone info now stored in the propertyvalues field of the UserProfile table. Now I have a new problem in that all users created since 8/15/07 I cannot find in SQL Enterprise Manager or (logically) with Crystal Reports. However the users do exist and can log in and use the site. Is it just another schema change? If so, what table are users stored in now? The aspnet_Users table lists the same users that the Users table lists - i.e. all users entered until 8/15/07. I am the administrator on the account but the superuser that set up our account and makes upgrades and changes does not have time to help me with this issue.

Also I wonder if there is any advantage to adding the reporting module that is part of DNN. Crystal does everything I need and I use it for all other reporting needs. I used IQ reporting software 11 years ago and recently I installed and learned the MicroSoft Services Reporting Server software but it's hard to change from a product I have used all day every day for 10 years.

With that kind of background I think you would be a great addition to this team.

Re: Ideas for New Renderers?

Not sure if this is what your looking for since I am new to DNN.....  the existing Renderers cover most areas, but I was thinking more about displaying data from other applications and services in real time...i.e.  xmod, RSS etc feeds.....that would feed the exisiting Renderers.....  I would like to be able to have an XMOD grid feed data to a chart in real time.....  maybe a realtime communications Renderer???
