ModalPopupExtender question

Will we ever be able to use the ModalPopupExtender in a DotNetNuke module? Will Cambrian allow its use? If anyone has been able to get it to work would you be willing to share the secret?

Jon

Re: ModalPopupExtender question

Create a new file called skin-name.DOCTYPE.xml in your skin's folder. Put this inside the file:

<SkinDocType>
    <![CDATA[<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">]]>
</SkinDocType>

(hopefully the forum will show the xml I just added above.... )

Follow the modal popup extender demos from http://asp.net/ajax/ ... and there are no more secrets :)

JK

Re: ModalPopupExtender question

I've been creating the file above but still have been unsuccessful in getting the ModalPopupExtender to behave correctly. Have you been successful?

Re: ModalPopupExtender question

The only issue we ever see with the Modal Popup Extender is the Doctype issue. What behavior are you seeing? Can you verify that the doctype on the page that you're seeing the problems on is, in fact, XHTML (it should be the first line or two when you view source on the page)?

Hope I can help,

Re: ModalPopupExtender question

Hi

Been struggling to get the modal popup extender working in dotnetnuke for months now. Giving up a couple of times but going to look at it again because it is such an important control.

The file that I have to create, skin-name.DOCTYPE.XML, is it something like this : DNN-Blue.DOCTYPE.XML or is it DNN-Blue - Horizontal Menu - Fixed Width.DOCTYPE.XML

and with its only contents being

<SkinDocType>
    <![CDATA[<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">]]>
</SkinDocType>

What else do need to do, because this is not working for me. The scroll bar scrolls down to infinity...

Thanks for the help

Marius
