Hello,

From within DNN, I want to add a link that will open a new website in a popup window.  The catch is that I want to include the currently signed-in DNN user's email address (encrypted) in the query string so that the destination website can automatically login that user without them having to type a login/password.

I control both the DNN portal site and the destination website (ASP.NET).  I'm just not sure how to accomplish this from within DNN - do I need to write a custom module?

Thanks in advance

hmmm.. to encrypt the email address int he link you may need a custom module .... to add it to the link as  a query string parameter you could do using tokens in a Text/HTML Module...

I must admit I've not yet used token replacement.

Gottabe worth a try though :)

To encrypt the email address for sending, you will need to use a custom module.

You will then just want to implement an encryption scheme that can be shared between the two applications.

Overall, a very simple development task.

MW,

did you ever get a solution for this? I need to do something similar.

Thanks
