Anthony, The permissions in the host's filemanager are the same.

If I change the settings, the first visible folder becomes the root-folder (instead of the default folder set as root-folder at the module-settings).

Do you mean the "admin" file manager?  You need to check the permissions on the folder you have set up as the "default" for the documents module (the one you said isn't working).

Of course you are right Anthony. I mean the admin-file manager.

THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED THOUGH!!!

I choose folders which didn't have write-rights for users.
I tested with an admin-account so I thought I had overall write-rights (which I still think I do) but it clearly doesn't work like that.
If I choose a folder with write-rights, it works like it should.
