4.01.00 - full width default

I've just updated this module and noted the change to the default from a width determined by the table/grid width now to full width.

First comment - not too keen at all that this change was made to a visual default, which I hadn't seen so much as a bug or even a problem before.

Now rather than a tidy instance of the module, it stretches across a page... and I'm not even sure this can be easily changed back!

1. How can I select the previous display?

2. Mightn't it have been better to leave the default as before but include an option for it to be displayed like this?

On a lighter side - is the module being released tomorrow?  I see it now - early morning 5 Sep (UDT+1) but the module page says it's released on 6 Sep.

Re: 4.01.00 - full width default

David,

First of all I greatly apologize that this is something that has caused pain.  This was completed and documented in Gemini under DOC-7491.  I added this behavior to ensure that this module follows the same standards that other DNN modules do.

Right now there is NOT a configuration option for this, I have logged DOC-8381 as an enhancement to get this in the next release.

As a stop gap method you can remove the "width="100%" portion from the datagrid inside the document.ascx file.

The module is offically released today!

Re: 4.01.00 - full width default

Hi Mitch

Thanks, that should solve it easily enough.

I realised after I mentioned the date that I might have seemed rude and was just pointing out a mistype - something I've never noticed from any of the DNN team!  Makes sense now and I had thought it may have been along those lines.

Thanks

David
