Strange module

I have never seen such a strange module as the Documents module. Even on 4.3.2 with the latest version for the Documents module a lot goes wrong. As I mentioned in another post if I create a folder in the file manager that is stored in the Database and use Documents to upload a file it flips the folder back to insecure????? Then documents that are already on the system and added to the documents module act strange when you try to download it, it says that it is going to download linkclick.aspx and that is also the name of file you download.

I give up, time for some other module.

Re: Strange module

Mariette,

>> create a folder in the file manager that is stored in the Database and use Documents to upload a file it flips the folder back to insecure
The file manager is part of the core.  The UrlControl that manages uploads is part of the core.

>> act strange when you try to download it, it says that it is going to download linkclick.aspx
The linkclick handler is part of the core.

None of the problems you have mentioned are part of the documents module.  But the core team members read this forum, so I'm sure they are being addressed.

During the period where DNN is a release candidate, your best bet is to report problems in the forums, and wait patiently.  It is not reasonable for you to "give up" until you are working with a final release.

Re: Strange module
I give up too. It was my first contact with DNN and I started exactly with Documents Module. A lot of strange things happened in my development and may production servers.

I'll try DNN 3.2.2. It was just a long two weeks for me. :)
