Error when deleting a file in File Manager

When we try to delete certain files, we receive the error:  "Index out of range...." and the file is not deleted.  This does not happen with all files.  What does this error message indicate?

Re: Error when deleting a file in File Manager

Typically this error message is relating to an improper index that is either too high or to low for a collection.  This issue is a file manager issue and external to the documents module.  I would personally recommend doing a recursive file sync then try your deletion again.

Re: Error when deleting a file in File Manager

Thanks Mitch.  Now you know I'll have to ask how to do a recursive file sync : )

Re: Error when deleting a file in File Manager

That is an easy one!

When logged in as an admin go to the Admin menu and select "File Manager"

In the upper right corner select "recursive", then click "Sync"

Re: Error when deleting a file in File Manager

I don't think I have the recursive file sync.  I have a link at the bottom of the page that is for database and file synchronization.  We're still on DNN 2.1.2.  Is there another way to sync the database with the file system?  I'm not sure how I did it, but the files in file manager have been relocated from portals/0 to portals/15 directory.  The links under the document module are still pointing to the portals/0 directory and I kicked out of the portal.  When I look at the log it tells me it cannot locate the file in ...portals/0.  Physically the file is in portals/15 but I think the database still thinks its portals/0.  Any suggestions?
