If I'm not mistaken, the documents module uses the same permissons that the file manager uses.  For example, if in the file manager, you have a folder with the permissions set to only the admin group, then only the admin group can get access to the files in that folder via the documents module.

So, I should have a certain folder for documents, assign for example registered users on it, then I can reach where I am willing to reach.
