IS THERE A "CONTRIBUTOR" ROLE PERMISSION THAT DOESN'T ALLOW EDITING ?

[New User] Can someone tell me if Dotnetnuke has a "Contributor" or "Composer" Permission Role  that allows Registered Users to add their own Announcements / postings to the site,  but Not be able to Edit nor Delete  anyone else's Posting  (except, of course, their Own ? )   --

All I seem to be able to access   are  View &  Edit  Permission Roles, which give Editors  full Permission to Edit not just their entries, but all others in the same Module or section as they  are in -

--  & If  not,   is there a Module I can get that does this  / or a  Content Management Program / Software that can do this -- easily  ?   ( I can't write Code) --    Thanks --

first: this is the forum for the Documents module only - so you should try in the future to select the correct forum for your posts.

DNN does only come with a minimum set of predefined roles, but an admin can easily create additional roles, as he needs. Whether they can get permissions to contribute only depends on the distinct modules, each can have and extended permission set and some do so, e.g. Blog, Forums, Repository and then next version of UserDefinedTable.

There are also a number of 3rd party modules supporting extended permissions.
