Re: problem in Event module Reminder

Each user who wants a notification must go to the events details page and click the 'Notify me @ ----------' link. It is a pull notification not a push one. So it doesn't go to all users of your site, or even all users are enrolled (since it is not linked to enrollment at all), it only goes to those who have asked for notification.

Cheers
Roger

Re: problem in Event module Reminder

Can you make sure the 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventNotification, DotNetNuke.Modules.Events' schedule item is running, since this is what is sending the emails. It can be found under Host/Schedule. If you look at the history, you will be able to tell if it has sent any emails, since it adds that info to the history.

Cheers
Roger

Hi Roger,

Thanks for your replay. I got DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventNotification, Its in Host/Schedule.

Host-->Schedule-->DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventNotification, DotNetNuke.Modules.Events  --> History -->

 Description(DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventNotification, DotNetNuke.Modules.Events  Event Notification completed. ), Duration (ms)(0.08),Succeeded(True),Start/End/Next Start(S: 6/28/2008 12:27:29 PM
E: 6/28/2008 12:27:29 PM
N: 6/28/2008 1:27:29 PM ) .

And

Host-->Schedule-->View  Schedule history--> Description(DotNetNuke.Services.Search.SearchEngineScheduler, DOTNETNUKE  Completed re-indexing content )Duration (ms)(1.174),Succeeded(True),Start/End/Next Start(S: 6/28/2008 12:27:29 PM
E: 6/28/2008 12:27:30 PM
N: 6/28/2008 12:57:29 PM )

There are so many items, their description are like this :--

      Descriptions:--

1> DotNetNuke.Services.Scheduling.PurgeScheduleHistory, DOTNETNUKE  Schedule history purged.

2> DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventNotification, DotNetNuke.Modules.Events  Event Notification completed.

3> DotNetNuke.Services.Search.SearchEngineScheduler, DOTNETNUKE  Completed re-indexing content

Sorry i just show u the format, can't show u detail. I can't understand much from it.

I think  DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventNotification is running successfully. But notification is not comming to mail yaar. don't know what is missing.

Sorry for distrubing u.

Thanks a lot

Nibedita
