Paging in Events module & order displayed

Hello there.

Excellent work on this module.  I have two instances of the Events module displayed on my site: one "master" events module with upcoming events, and then one "sub-calendared" events module that displays past events.  Everything looks great for the first page since we typically don't have more than 10 events that are scheduled in advance - but the number of past events on the second page is getting longer and longer.  We would like all past events to be accessible, perhaps by using some kind of a paging mechanism.  Is there any way to do that, and if not, is that idea being considered for future development?

Also, for our past events, we would like them to display from most recent to least recent.  Is there a way to selectively do this per Events Module that's displayed?

Thanks so much for your hard work.
D.SCOTT

Re: Paging in Events module & order displayed

Hiya,

I know the reverse order item is one that has been requested elsewhere, and I could do with it for my site. I think we will look at this capability in version 4.1.0, when we look at templating that section. I think paging can be enabled in the datagrid that the list is based on just by changing an option in the ascx file.

I've added a new Gemini issue to track these - EVT-8003

Thanks
Roger

Re: Paging in Events module & order displayed

Thanks Roger - I am looking forward to seeing the next release!

Do you mind embellishing a bit more on how to enable paging?  I have EventList.ascx opened and I see the DataGrid.  I know that I need to set "AllowPaging" equal to "true" - but what do we pass in for the "OnPageIndexChanged" property?  Also, are there any other settings I need to know?

Thanks again.

Re: Paging in Events module & order displayed

Hiya,

My error, for some reason I thought paging was handled within the datagrid. However, it needs code support, which is not currently included.

Sorry!!

Re: Paging in Events module & order displayed

Ah!  Well, sounds like something that can be added for future versions.  I'm glad that you added that feature to the list - I'm sure that many folks could use that kind of functionality. I downloaded and installed the events module with source code - so I'll see what I can do in the interim to fix it myself.  Thanks for your help!
