For some reason i did not get the notice that you had responded. Yes you are both correct in your observations... the currently selected date is sometimes lost when the view is changed (ie month to week, or all todays events to some of todays events.).

Currently it stores the selected date in a cookie for 2 minutes. This could be made into a configurable option in a future release. If your are keen on it, can you post on http://support.dotnetnuke.com.

There is a bug in the current version of the Forums, it doesn't send our notifications if you ask to be notified on a thread level. It only works for the whole forum. It's a pain, but I know it is fixed in the next release of the forums module, just don't know when that will be released.
