Multiple Events Created

Hi,

I am not sure if this bug is in the bug tracking system or not.

I currently have DNN 04.07.00 installed and am using the Events Module 03.03.08.

One of my clients (me included) has noticed that if you enter a long date range, it creates a seperate entry for different dates as well. However, if you delete the fictitious entry, it deletes the original entry. Also, this duplication is only visible in Month View.

For example:

I entered an event to span from May 5, 2008 to May 29, 2008 (times don't seem to affect this). After you save the event, everything looks as it should. However, if you navigate to June, there is another event displayed for May 22, 2008 to June 15, 2008.

The only way we found to get around this bug, is to enter several consecutive events. (ie. May 5 - 15, May 16 - 23, etc.)

Is there anyone else noticing this issue?

Thanks,

Pat

Re: Multiple Events Created

Hi Pat,

This sounds like the problem shown in this issue - EVT-7332 - which should be fxied by the 4.0.0 release, which you are welcome to download and beta test from www.dnnevents.net.

Cheers

Roger

Re: Multiple Events Created

Thanks for the reply!

I did download the beta version and it does appear to have fixed this issue.

Is there an official release date for the final version?

Cheers,

Pat

Re: Multiple Events Created

Hi Pat,

No official release date - there never is for a DNN item - everyone is a volunteer, so no dates are committed to.. As yet it hasn't gone into the release tracker, though hopefully that isn't far away, and I'm not sure how long it will take to go through the release process.

Cheers
Roger
