sub-calendars question...

With the sub-calendars feature, can these be on sub portals or do they only apply to calendards within the current site?

Also, is there any way to only select certain events to get rolledup, ie some sort of flag to say make an event public, ie available for rollup to anotehr calendar?

"No" to both questions, sorry! Sub portals are basically independent portals, and as far as I know there is no core module that allows content sharing between portals. A solution could be to embed a calendar from another portal in a n I-Frame module.

Possible workaround for your second problem: put the public and the non-public events in two different calendars, and use the public calendar as sub-calendar for both the non-public and the main calendar.

Hope this helps a bit!

Re: sub-calendars question...

Ok thanks, niether solution meets our needs.  I suspect we will need to make a custom version that allows this with a new flitering flag and removal of any filtering by portal ID.

Any idea on a timeframe for when we might see the new code released as we would like the new source as our starting point?

Re: sub-calendars question...

The source is currently available from www.dnnevents.net, in and RC2 version. It is not the final version, since there have already been some minor changes since that release.
