Chris,

Your provider is a long way behind the curve on releases. 4.4.1 was released in January 2007, and is now 12 versions old, current version is 4.8.2.

Events 3.2.0 was released in July 2006. The current release is 3.3.8, and is about to go to 4.0.0.

My recommendation is that you look for your hosting provider to move to current releases, or possibly look at someone who is more current....

Sorry if this doesn't help your situation, but I'm not in a position to bug fix for versions that old.
