Change the way events are displayed

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to change the way that the events are displayed. Right now the rows expand to a certain point to fit in event titles. However, there's a little 'arrow' that sits above the event title. Is there any way to have the events all displayed as a list, with no arrows or anything else, where it has one event, a
and the next event?

Thanks,

Rob

Re: Change the way events are displayed

You could always change the Navlink.gif to a small icon (1x1 pixels possibly), this would reduce the space taken up by it. The gif resides in DesktopModules\Events somewhere. It's only above because it has run out of space on the line.

Other than that, you can change the theme being used, to give it more flexbility. It depnds how you want it to look at the end.

Cheers
Roger

Re: Change the way events are displayed

And more to that answer....

You say you want a list without the arrow. I have suggested a way or 'removing' the arrow. I think the use of the gif is hardcoded for now, but is expected to be removed in version 4.1.0 through templating. I think the titles should form a list, unless the titles are too long. Then, you have options, do you let them wrap, or make the box wider, or add scroll bars. These can all be decided via the theme file. I'm no expert on Theme css files, but I'm sure you would get some guidance here.

Cheers
Roger

Re: Change the way events are displayed

Hi Rob,

You can hide the arrow gif in the css file:

.EventDay a img { display:none; }

Cheers

Re: Change the way events are displayed

Roger and Renato,

THANKS! I'll dig around and see if I can find the CSS file. I think I should be able to do exactly what I want if I can find the CSS file. I'll also try and locate the themes that are assoicated with this module, because it's not based on the standard themes. Thanks for the pointers though. I'll let you know how I do, and how I do it if successful.

Thanks,

Rob
