Can the Events module (or any event module) do this?

What I need is a way to import events into the event calendar, like a sports schedule for example. What I would want is the monthly calendar view, just how it is in the existing DNN module. Is this something that is possible in any event module? I cannot find any that will do this.

Thanks.

Re: Can the Events module (or any event module) do this?

The Events version 3.3.8 contains routine to import Events from external source AVCalendar application into Events tables.  Suggest to review the AVCalendar import code/store procedures.

Re: Can the Events module (or any event module) do this?

Thanks for the reply. I went looking for this AVCalendar and when I installed it I got a long string of error messages, though the module still installed. I was unable to find the documentation you speak of. Any further advice? Thanks.

Hi Kiefer,

What Fuji was refering to was that within version 3.3.8, there is code for importing from AVCalendar (which is an ancestor the Events module). If you were wanting to code something, this could be a basis to go on.

I'm guessing you are looking for a module that already has import capabilities built in. I'm not aware of any, but then I'm not aware of all module. You could look at teh use of Google Calendar. I believe some integration work has been done on integrating to data within DNN.

Various DNN modules do support export/import. However at this time the Events module does not. I can't promise when/if this capability will be added in the future.

Cheers
Roger
