Paypal locale Euro currency format problem

Hi,

just tried out the rc1 events version 04.00.01 to check the paypal with foreign currencies.
Sadly, it doesn't work with local set to Belgium with currency format 10,00 Euro instead of 10.00 Dollars
So the only way I got it running and have it charge 10,00 euro was setting the locale back to US english and have my portal payment setting to euro.

Is there a way to change to currency format while waiting for a fix?

Cheers,
Thomas

Re: Paypal locale Euro currency format problem

Currently the Event payment settings depend indeed on the portal payment settings, not on the selected locale, but I don't see a problem here. Or do you want to have the possibility to select a different currency for each module instance?

Re: Paypal locale Euro currency format problem

Problem isn't the dependancy on the portal payment settings, the problem is the currency format.
The event module doesn't know how to handle currency formats where the decimal seperator is ,  instead of . (10,00 instead of 10.00)

The error thrown from paypal is
"The link you have used to enter the PayPal system contains an incorrectly formatted item amount."

The currency per module would be nice but it would even make more sense to do that on event level. (nice enhancement but I would be more satisfied solving the bug)

Cheers,
Thomas

Re: Paypal locale Euro currency format problem

Thomas,

This looks like a bug that should be fixed in the 4.0.2 release. I've added as an issue on Gemini here - EVT-8091.

Thanks for reporting the problem.

Cheers
Roger

Events 4.0.2 - It's released !! - See the annoucement.
Requirements/Bugs - Submit them here - Gemini - Raise against project 'DNNP', and put 'Events' in the title.
