List view error

I'm using the 03.03.08 events module with DNN 04.05.03. When I set the default view to "list", the page comes up with an eror message where the module should be. When I click on another view it works fine, then I can click on list and it works. It just won't seem to load the page correctly when you first bring it up.

Re: List view error

Please upgrade. Events 04.00.01 has fixed more than 60 issues probably also your. Check for yourself: if you disable Category select box (setting) and the module starts fine, that is 1 of the issues that has been fixed. You can find info here.

Anw while you are at it: upgrade DNN to the lastest version as well.

Ernst Peter

Re: List view error

Is this a Known issue with this version?

I did upgrade it a few days ago only to find out 04.00.01 is not compatible with my DNN version. So I reinstalled the ond one. And if I understand correctly, I can not upgrade my DNN version myself but must rely on my Web Host Provider to do it. I will email them today and see if they will do it.

Re: List view error

Hi Glenn,

This is a known error in list view in 3.3.8. The workaround, as Ernst Peter advised, it to disable Category Select from the module settings. This disables the abaility to filter by category, but does allow the view to work - http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=7231&PROJID=11

Cheers
Roger

Re: List view error

In my Documents Module Settings  there is no "Category Select". Do you mean "Use category list"? Below are the following settings mentioning "Category".

Use category list - Has a check box which is already NOT checked.
Category list name - which allows selection of a category list file????
Display Columns > Category - which is already NOT checked.
