Mode: View Edit 

I'm using the Events Module on my site and want to give certain roles the ability to add events. I've given one role on my site the ability to edit the Events module. When those users log on they get the Mode: View Edit radio buttons at the top of the page. I'd rather not have to tell my users that they need to switch to Edit mode in order to see the "Add Events" link at the bottom of the page. Is there a way to avoid showing the Mode and still give those users the ability to add events? If not, is there some way to put those users in Edit mode automatically?

This is configured under your sites Admin/Site Settings. In Advanced Settings/Usability Settings. Set Control Panel Mode to Edit, and Control Panel Security to Page Editors.
