Over the last months, the events team has on a number of occasions mentioned a couple of major changes we are making in the next major release (4.1.0). These are the addition of templating and the break out of recurring events into individual records in the database.

Yesterday, I finished the work on the recurring events item (EVT-8221). A basic summary is that you will be able change all attributes of individual occurences of a recurring event, and delete a single occurence without affecting any others. I don't propose to go into all the details here, but more details on this can be found in my DNN Blog on my Diving Club website.

If you have any questions, or see any problems, don't hesitate to ask. I can't say when a beta will be available, there are still many items open on Gemini (mostly enhancements/new features), so it is likely to be some time yet, but I thought I would give you a taster of what is to come.
