feature improvements/requests and release schedule?

Does anyone know if there is a new release of this FAQ module any time soon? From what I gather, some (rather useful/important) features have been requested, in some cases going back to last year, and I'm wondering if it's going to happen any time soon.

Basically I'm waiting on the categories to become more useful by allowing users to find FAQs in an easier manner, by being able to put them into sub categories as well, and actually allowing the user to step through a tree of categories/sub categories to find FAQs that are relevant.

Perhaps the ability to search just through FAQs with a keyword search as well would be useful, rather than using the main site search?

The other alternative I guess is that I add the missing features myself, or look for a replacement module? I'm sure someone else must have a need for these kinds of features, so someone may have already done it, and I don't feel the need to re-invent the wheel.

...first time in the FAQ section, and I came in looking for the same thing you are, sir.  Yes, I, too, see the value in searchable FAQ and perhaps more template abilities, as it's sort of vanilla right now. I like the searchable format my old stomping ground migrated to...friend said they are going to clean up the gridview in the not-too-distant future.

I just checked snowcovered and saw nothing that caught my eye, either...

I'm also curious to know.  I would simply like group different types of questions and visually display that.

Re: feature improvements/requests and release schedule?

I would suggest simply adding multiple FAQ modules to the pages each with a different title. E.g. "FAQs - Category One", "FAQs - Category Two", etc. To make it easy for users to find the right answers, you could Minimize each FAQ so they could quickly find the answers they need.

Re: feature improvements/requests and release schedule?

I appreciate your suggestion but I'd like to have categories and subcategories bellow that.  Your suggestion to add multiple FAQ madules to the same page had cross my mind but would still fail to satisfy the need for subcategories.  Thanks again.
