Hey all

Is there any way to configure the FAQ module so that it does not auto insert the paragraph html tag (<p>  and </p>) into every FAQ?  These tags make a line space between the FAQ # and the FAQ.  This "feature" drives me crazy.  I'm getting ready to train up a bunch of content managers, and I would prefer to not have to teach them  how to open the html source to manually delete the p tags, and to redo this every time the faq is modified.

Thanks

Re:

Yes, It is a very irritating thing isn't it.
We get a lot of complaints about this from our customers.

I know the FCK editor can be modified so it uses <br /> tags instead of <p> tags, but that isn't really a structural solution, cause the you run into other problems (for example when you want to enter bulleted lists).

So I think something should definately be fixed here....

Re:

I managed to work around it by using floating divs:

<div Class="FAQuestion"><p><b>Q[INDEX].</b></p></div><div Class="FAQuestion"><b>[QUESTION]</b></div><div Class="FAQSpacer"></div>
<br><div Class="Normal" Style="padding: 5px;"><b>Answer:</b> [ANSWER]</div>
<br><div Class="Normal" Style="padding: 5px;">Loading...</div>
.FAQuestion { float: left; margin: 0 7px -1px 0; }
.FAQSpacer { clear: both; margin-bottom: -15px; }

It spaces differently in FireFox than it does in IE because of how they treat the <p> tag, but it does solve the problem.

Re:

Nice simple faq module, but I support you fully here Fritz!

Seems no official FAQ-module person wants to comment on this thread?  A shame, because it would be nice to get this issue on the fix-list for the next update - as I doubt that this "auto-insert-a-paragraph-function" is according to standard dnn module spec.

Would also be nice to be able to use the Category function to sorting the list too. Great that snowcovered has it for nine bucks, but should be standard feature.
