New FAQs Not Showing In Search Results

Hi all. When I add FAQ entries they are not showing in my search results. To be honest, anything new I add to my site (DNN 4.081) does not show in search results either, be it links or whatever. Any help on how to debug or fix this problem?

Thanks!
Daniel

Re: New FAQs Not Showing In Search Results

It seems that other things than FAQ entries DO show up, but only after the app is restarted. The FAQ entries never show up. Should they?

I'm trying this both on Godaddy and on my local IIS, both with SQL 2005.

Re: New FAQs Not Showing In Search Results

Did you manage to solve this?

I too have items inside FAQ which do not show up on searches.

Also, it doesn't seem possible to conduct searches " inside quotes "

I have restarted IIS but this failed to bring in new items in my FAQ page. (older text appears, but not new text)

mark.

Re: New FAQs Not Showing In Search Results

Further to the above:

1. When I say that 'new text doesn't appear' I am refering to text over 24 hours old on a webpage.

2. In host / Schedule - the indexer is set to run every 30 minutes (history says Succeeded = true).

(DotNetNuke.Services.Search.SearchEngineScheduler, DOTNETNUKE)

Also disabled and re-enabled, but still can not search for newly created content.

3. I have no problem with search indexing content from other modules - it is just faq module !*?

Unfortunately, I do not have the source project downloaded and have not looked through the FAQ ISearchable implementation, so I will not be able to offer any direct advice in solving the problem you are having.

However, since no one has really responded to date, I can give you some general direction in trying to get more information about the issue.  If *I* were experiencing this problem, the first thing I would do would be to download the source package, find the ISearchable implementation, and log a HOST_
