I sincerely appreciate all the suggestions!  I located the resource file and adjusted my desired change. Worked GREAT.

 

Also investigated the Admin language editor.  Wow, what resource!  Understanding the dept of what can be changed is really refreshing.

 

Thanks to all that have  responded and hope this thread will help others broaden their understanding of DNN

I am pretty sure the latest version 3.3 allows templating which would make this very easy to do, but it's completely disappeared and for some reason the people who know why and where it is are keeping mum about it... very mysterious a pity, because it was a good module!

Mark is on the right way, but instead of editing the resource files directly, use the language editor from the admin menu and locate the resource file in the tree on the left. this allows you to create a portal specific version, that doesnot get overwritten during updates.

Could you please confirm that when I edit resource file in the langage editor, it is not overwritten when upgrading ??? What is the difference with the editing of the resx file ?
