The problem I faced was a little different. I had a 4.5.5 version of DNN which had v.4.4.1 of the Feedback module. I upgraded my DNN site to 4.8.0 and after upgrading, I noticed from Host-Module Definitions-Installed Modules that there is my Feedback module with v.4.4.1. Under Available modules, I see 2 versions of Feedback, viz., 4.4.1 and 4.4.2. I went ahead and put a tick mark only against the 4.4.2 version and clicked on Install Selected Module, thinking that perhaps by doing so I would then be having 2 versions of the Feedback module in my site. But then I discovered that my existing 4.4.1 module was automatically upgraded to version 4.4.2. Now, Host-Module Definitions-Installed Modules shows my Feedback module version as 4.4.2. Host-Module Definitions-Available Modules no longer shows Feedback module as available.

Now to come to my problems :

1. Values entered into Send To, Send From, Send Copy, Use Category value as Send To are not getting saved after changing them and clicking on Update.

2. Notify field was there in 4.4.1 but is missing from 4.4.2

3. Feedback emails sent have only the text of the feedback instead of "A New Feedback has been submitted which needs to be published, Please log into the website and change the status of the post". And the link which used to come like

<a href='http://host/dotnetnuke/SendFeedback/tabid/68/ctl/Feedback+Moderation/mid/412/Default.aspx'>Moderate Posts</a>
is also missing in the email.

Would the procedures you have mentioned resolve my problems too?

And it looks like it has opened up a security hole as well!

Tried entering <script> )</script> in any of the fields except for email field where its the only field validated and then click on Send. This script will be saved in database and will fire up when moderator tries to view the feedback posted.
