Feedback Comments Keeps Showing Restricted Field

Gurus, instered a feedback module, and for the comments module we checked the box that says "Hide Name", hit save. Reopened the settings to make sure it was properly saved. But the comments module keep showing the name?

What am I doing wrong? or is this a known bug? the "Hide Email" and "Hide Subject" works just fine, but "Hide Name" does not :(.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Using Feedback 04.04.03 over DNN 4.8.1.

Sincerely,

Re: Feedback Comments Keeps Showing Restricted Field

Is this a new install of Feedback module or did you upgrade? In the past the comment was appended with the Name field and stored in the same column in the table. This would explain why the name field would show up even if you turn it off..

Re: Feedback Comments Keeps Showing Restricted Field

Sanjay, thanks for the information. Yes, its indeed an upgrade and we now understand why this happened. We ran a clean up script to get ride of the string towards the end of the data column as "Submitted By". It worked. It would be great if clean up script is included for such upgrade, but no biggies.

I thank you much.

Sincerely,
