Re: Feedback Controller Class

FR,

Check out the Feedback Module Downloads Page - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Products/Development/Forge/ModuleFeedback/Downloads/tabid/859/Default.aspx

You'll be able to download the Visual Studio project and view/edit/recompile the controller class.

Take care,

Ian

Re: Feedback Controller Class

Thanks Ian for the help.

I've downloaded the source. It contains a Resource.zip file along with other files. This zip file contains the classes and a project file. I ran that project file but when i tried to build it, it gave me a bundle of errors.

Kindly guide me through it...how should i use the source in order to build it and use in my other DNN project.

I'm using DNN 4.8.2 which already includes the Feedback module. i installed it. Its working perfectly fine. Now i need to add some more fields to it... like phone number, address etc.

i've added these attributes in database and stored procs...but as i need to change the class file as well so im unable to utilize that feedback form....

I hope you understand the problem im trying to explain.

Re: Feedback Controller Class

What errors are you getting? Have you corrected the references to DotNetNuke that are included in the project which will be different based on your machine setup?

Re: Feedback Controller Class

Hey Fasiha,

I would suggest installing the module to your local DNN installation and then opening the .vbproj from there. You may need to add a reference path to your website's bin directory in the project properties. Make sure there are no missing references in the project (especially to the DotNetNuke.dll). This should get the module to build.

Then set the build output path to the website's bin directory as well. This will ensure that the assembly is available to your application.  Then set your application, upon running from visual studio, to open your local development URL (e.g. localhost/DotNetNuke_2). This will allow you to run and debug your web site with the module installed.

Take care,

Ian
