Disappearing text 

Hi I’m running DotNetNuke version 4.08.00 and I have a problem with disappearing text in the Text/HTML module.

I start off with a new module, copy some text, usually 70 to 100 line of text, and save. Up to this point everything works great Then I want to edit the text, open it up in the editor and make my changes. Here is the problem, when I save the edited text, the changes disappear or some lines (about 10 to 20) in the beginning disappear.

 

Any idea?

Use the Source button on the FCK toolbar to have a look at the actual code for your text. If you have basic text then there shouldn't be too many HTML tags at all. When pasting text into the FCK Editor it's a good idea to use the 'paste as plain text button' which will strip out any nasties.

On the other hand, the 2.4.1 version of the FCKeditor can be a little moody, it's very easy to upset of you're using <PRE> tags . Hopefully the 5.0 release of DNN will upgrade it to the current 2.6 version.
