Re: HTML mod causing child to fail - Urgent help requested!!

The error is indicating that the HTML folder in your APP_CODE directory is missing.

Did you try do an upgrade on your site to 4.8.3 by chance since it seems some stuff has gotten wiped.

You should reinstall the module and all should be good.

Re: HTML mod causing child to fail - Urgent help requested!!

I didn't uninstall the module but just installed over the top and it was the latest version. I have since wiped everything and reinstalled and am building it back. While doing this, the automated install did not work correctly. Seems some files could not be written which led me to figure out that permissions were off. I fixed the permissions and was able to run the final "Install" to get back up.

Now the daunting task of rebuilding it all. I like to stay up to date but while attempting upgrade to the latest version of DNN manually, it all failed. Still could hav been a permission issue but there has to be an easier way to upgrade. Anyone with some short quick steps to upgrade? I really am beginning to hate GoDaddy but I have no options here. If I even suggest moving it anytime soon, they will say I shouldn't be using DNN anyway. We have an outside dev company doing our website and we have discussed CMS and i mentioned all the big ones including DNN. My thoughts are if i can get it up and working good, maybe they will jsut say lets stick with it.

Thanks for your help.
